For chain link enclosures, generally, a starting multi-hole galvanized post is place at the start and end of each segment. Such starting post is used to place the guide wire in which then the mesh will be bonded. The guide wire will be tightened using galvanised tensioners also attached to the starting post.
Once the starting post in in place, galvanised intermediate posts should be installed. A distanced of 3 m between posts is recommended.
Such posts are available in galvanized and polyester powder coated finish.
With regards to the height of the posts used, it will always depend on the designated location of the enclosure. Posts should all have a minimum of 40 additional cm if crammed on ground. If, instead, they are installed on a smooth surface, they can have the same height of the chosen fencing. Generally, for this kind of installation, they have an anchor plate for floor mounting.
With the aim of reinforcing the fencing, a multi-hole intermediate post will be installed every 25 m. Such post will include a brace on each side and tensioners to tighten the guide wires.
